Zoning Board
Please be advised that the next Town of Jewett Zoning Board of Appeals meeting is scheduled for Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 7:00pm.  If you wish to inquire further, or have a matter to raise before the Board, please call the Town Clerk, Maya Carl at 518-263-4646 Ext.1, or send an email to ZBA-Board@townofjewett.org. Please be aware in order to be placed onto the agenda, one must be denied a building permit first and have a completed application to the town no later than 5 days before the scheduled meeting.

Town of Jewett Town Wide Pick-Up

TOWN OF JEWETT TOWNWIDE PICK-UP

 On the Following Dates:

May 30th, 31st & June 1st, 2017

 

The Town of Jewett Highway Department will hold a town wide pick-up for all residents of the Town.

This will be RESIDENTIAL PICK-UP only.

 

The Town would ask that you sort your ELIGIBLE items that are to be picked up.

1.    Metal

2.    Appliances (Doors off of refrigerators)

3.    Electronics (Computers, Monitors, TVís, Old phones, Printers, radios, etc.)

4.    Tires up to four (4), NO COMMERCIAL TIRES

 

The following items are NOT ELIGIBLE for pick-up:

1.    Household Kitchen Garbage

2.    Any Chemical of Any kind (Paints, Insecticides, glues, etc.)

3.    No Construction Debris (Asphalt, Shingles, etc.)

 

PUBLIC COOPERATION REGARDING THE ABOVE ITEMS IS VERY IMPORTANT

The Highway Department is restricted from entering private roads.

Items for pick-up should be placed at the nearest town/county/state right-of-way.

Property Tax Grievance Day

The Hunter Foundation is currently accepting applications for the
Mountaintop Communities  Rehabilitation Program. This program benefits low and very low income residents in the towns of Ashland, Hunter, Jewett, Lexington, Prattsville, and  Windham by providing financial assistance to help with home repair costs.
